What you will do

  • You will visit the baroque Palace and the Italianate Garden of Isola Bella. 
  • You will discover the Gallery of Paintings of Isola Bella.    
  • You will visit the Sixteenth Century Palace and the English Garden of Isola Madre.
  • You will visit the Historic Rooms, the Doll and Toy Museum, the Medieval Garden and the Contemporary art exhibition in the Ala Scaligera of Angera Fortress. 
  • You will visit the Parco Pallavicino, discovering its plant and animal species. 
  • You will skip the line at the ticket office.      
  • You will have priority access to the islands’ Palaces and Gardens.

From 20 March to 31 March 2020 from 09:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. (last entrance), Palaces and Castle close at 04:30 p.m., gardens of Isola Bella and Isola Madre and Parco Pallavicino at 05:00 p.m.

From 01 April to 30 September 2020 from 09:00 a.m. to 05:30 p.m. (last entrance), Palaces and Castle close at 06:00 p.m., gardens of Isola Bella and Isola Madre and Parco Pallavicino at 06:30 p.m.

From 01 October to 23 October 2020 from 09:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m. (last entrance), Palaces and Castle close at 04:30 p.m., gardens of Isola Bella and Isola Madre and Parco Pallavicino at 05:00 p.m.

From 24 October to 01 November 2020 from 09:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.(last entrance), Palaces and Castle close at 04:00 p.m., gardens of Isola Bella and Isola Madre and Parco Pallavicino at 04:30 p.m.

In occasion of the festivities, the opening hours will be from 09:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. (last entrance), Palaces and Castle close at 06:30 p.m., gardens of Isola Bella and Isola Madre and Parco Pallavicino at 07:00 p.m.

How to get there

For Isola Bella and Isola Madre: 

  • By car:  Take the A8 motorway (Autostrada dei Laghi), direction Gravellona Toce then exit at Carpugnino and follow the signs for Stresa.
  • By boat:  Isola Bella and Isola Madre can be reached from Stresa, Arona, Pallanza, Locarno, Laveno by scheduled ferries(www.navigazionelaghi.it) or by public non-scheduled water-taxi.    
  • By train:  Take the Ferrovie dello Stato (state railways), Milan-Sempione line, Stresa stop, then continue by ferry or water-taxi.  Take the Ferrovie Nord (local railways), Milan-Laveno line, Laveno stop. The ferry stop is a few metres away.     

For the Rocca di Angera:    

  • By car:  Take the A8 motorway (Autostrada dei Laghi) and exit at Sesto Calende. Continue on state road 629 towards Angera.       
  • By boat:  The Fortress can be reached from Stresa, Arona, Pallanza, Locarno, Laveno by scheduled ferry (www.navigazionelaghi.it) or by public non-scheduled water-taxi.  The Castle is about a 20-minute walk from the pier.     
  • By train:  Take the Ferrovie dello Stato (state railways), Milan-Sempione line, Arona stop.  Angera can be reached by scheduled ferry boat.     

For the Parco Pallavicino:     

  • By car:  Take the A8 motorway (Autostrada dei Laghi), direction Gravellona Toce then exit at Carpugnino and follow the signs for Stresa.  By the entrance to the Park there is a large car park for visitors.   
  • By train:   Take the Ferrovie dello Stato (state railways), Milan-Sempione line, Stresa stop.  The Park is about a 20-minute walk from the train station.

Special rates

       SPECIAL INDIVIDUAL TICKET/GROUP RATE 

  • Children from 6yrs to 15yrs: reduced admission.           
  • Children under 6yrs: free admission.         
  • Family ticket (4 persons): buying 2 adult tickets and 2 child tickets, one child has a free admission.          
  • Adult Groups: minimum 18 people, one free admission every 18 paid tickets. 

    SPECIAL SCHOOL RATE 

  • Children from 6yrs to 15yrs: reduced admission. 
  • Children under 6yrs: reduced baby admission.
    One free entrance per teacher every 13 paying pupils.

Notes

For customers with individual ticket:           

  • Isola Bella, Isola Madre, Parco Pallavicino and Rocca di Angera can be visited any day within 01 November 2020.      
  • Each location can be visited on different days.

For customers with a group ticket:     

  • Ticket can be used at most in 4 consecutive days. 

The visit of each location lasts approximately 2 hours.  You will find a Cafeteria and Gift shop in each garden.

Unused tickets will not be refunded.

The Contemporary art exhibition in the Ala Scaligera is opened from ... Aprile to ... Septemper 2020 form 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (last entrance at 4.30 p.m.).

Please read the following rules to be respected :

  • The use of headphones is compulsory by renting the audioguides
  • The introduction of big backpacks is prohibited into the museum
  • It is compulsory to follow the instructions of our staff for little/medium size backpacks.
  • The use of vocal amplifiers is prohibited
  • No photos into the “Berthier Painting Gallery” of Isola Bella
  • The use of selfie stick is prohibited into the museum
  • Smoking is allowed only by the “cafetery” for all locations, for electornic cigarettes as well
  • The entrance to the Palace, Castle and Garden with pets of any size is not allowed, except guide dogs.
    The access with pets at leash is only allowed at Parco Pallavicino (except in the farm area).
