Isola Bella + Isola Madre


What is included

On Isola Bella: the free visit of Palazzo Borromeo and the Italian Baroque Garden.
In the event of a large turnout, the visit itinerary may vary.
On Isola Madre: the free visit of the Botanical Garden and Palazzo Borromeo.

Transportation is not included.

For disabled visitors it is possible, upon request at the entrance, to access the main floor at Isola Bella with the aid of an elevator.

Due to the particular geographical morphology of Isola Madre and its gardens, as well as the constraints set by the Superintendency of Cultural, Architectural and Landscape Heritage, access for people with mobility difficulties can be particularly difficult.

After selecting the access titles, it is possible to add other services in the following screen:

  • the guided tour service for a maximum of 50 people per guide.
  • the audio guide for all the museum sites of Terre Borromeo
  • transport by motorboat departing from Stresa
  • breakfast or an aperitif at the cafeteria in the garden

On Isola Bella, it is advisable to discover the Vicolo del Fornello in the ancient village, with its boutiques, the Fornello bistro, Bottega con Cucina and the Delfino restaurant with its magnificent terrace overlooking the Borromean Gulf.

On Isola Madre it is advisable to taste the cuisine of the La Piratera restaurant.


To Know

The admission ticket is the only recognized document and can be presented in paper for groups and in paper or electronic format on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) for individuals.

VISIT RULES

Prohibition of the introduction of voluminous backpacks, umbrellas and strollers inside the Palaces. In the area in front of the Isola Bella ticket office, lockers and an unattended space dedicated to stroller storage are available free of charge.

To protect the works of art, it is also forbidden to carry small/medium sized backpacks and bags on the back. Please follow the advice of the staff, wearing them on the front of the body.

For security reasons, staff may ask you to open bags and backpacks at any time during your visit.

The use of voice amplifiers is not allowed.

It is forbidden to take photographs in the Berthier Gallery.

The use of selfie sticks and flashes is not allowed in all rooms of Palazzo Borromeo, drones unless authorized.

The photographs and videos taken during the visit cannot be used for commercial and/or advertising purposes.

Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited, with the exception of the outdoor areas of the cafeterias where there are ashtrays.

Pets are not allowed, with the exception of guide and medical dogs.

It is forbidden to feed the animals in the gardens.

Ticket validity

The ticket is valid until 3rd November 2024 (season closure)
In case of no use the ticket won’t be refunded.

 

Opening time

Isola Bella and Isola Madre:

From 16th March to 26th October 2024
Daily from 10:00 a.m. to 05:00 p.m., last entrance. Palace closes at 05:30 p.m., gardens close at 06:00 p.m.

From 27th October to 3rd November 2024
Daily from 10:00 a.m. to 04:00 p.m., last entry. Palace closes at 04:30 p.m., gardens close at 05:00 p.m.

The opening and closing time of museums and gardens are subject to changes for extraordinary events.

 

Special rates

For customers with individual ticket:
The Ticket can be used within 3rd November 2024.
Each location can be visited on different days.

For customers with group tickets:
Isola Bella and Isola Madre can be visited the same day or at most in two consecutive days.

- Kids (6-15 years): reduced rate
- Babies (up to 6 years): free
- Family Ticket: with 2 adult tickets and 2 kids ticket, the second kids ticket is free. This promotion can only be purchased at ticket offices.
- Groups: minimum 20 people, one free entrance every 20 paid tickets.
- Disabled visitors with a certifyed invalidity equal or higher than 30% will get a discount of 100% exclusively at at the ticket offices.

The discount will be showed directly into the basket.
